IDI respondents can sometimes get over focused on the numbers associated with their IDI results (e.g. PO or DO score) and lose sight of the broader implications of being within a particular orientation. Thus, we encourage QAs to focus on the orientation itself. One reason the scores are so precise is that the IDI is used for research, which requires more precise numbers. However, the exact number (down to the hundredths place) is not as important for general use. QAs should help the respondent understand that their overall experience is more important than the specific score.
