Intercultural Development Plans (IDPs) are designed as interactive files so that IDI respondents can type and save their responses directly into the file (.pdf). Text boxes will accommodate any length of text allowing the user the opportunity to be as thorough in their responses as they like. If the file is saved onto a computer or drive, the user can scroll through the text they've typed if it exceeds the size of the box.
If the user wishes to print an IDP with their responses, only the text that is visible in the box will show on the printed document. Any text that has to be scrolled to be seen will not show up on the print out. In cases where a user has typed more than the visible size of the box and also would like to print they may need to copy and paste their response into a word document or other file to be able to see the entire response.
