IDI, LLC and Benchmarking Data

IDI, LLC does not maintain data about specific groups. We do have global data about the distribution of the orientations.

A normal distribution or curve of IDI Developmental Orientation (DO) scores is based upon a DO of 100, representing the 50th percentile of respondents taking the IDI.

The average distribution of the orientations is roughly:

Denial - 3%

Polarization - 15%

Minimization, 65%

Acceptance - 15%

Adaptation - 2%

It is also important to note that there is no theoretical reason that a particular group of people would score in a particular or similar way in their cultural competency. If similarities or differences are found, it is not because of this characteristic, but because of individuals’ personal experiences.
